Debbie Dowie

Founder of Boot Out Breast Cancer – Debbie decided to set up the charity in 2010 after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was one of the lucky ones as her cancer was discovered early and her prognosis was very good.She has a team of 10 friends who are all determined to make a difference. Each committed to fundraising and to making sure that every penny raised is spent on some much needed equipment in the NHS. The overall aim is to provide equipment for as many breast cancer units in the North West as possible.Since coming into contact with Professor Michael Lisanti a few years back Debbie has been a huge supporter of his ground breaking research and was therefore delighted to be asked to help found The Healthy Life Foundation.
